How long does shipping take for heavy HVAC equipment?
Most orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Due to the size and weight of mini split systems, they are shipped via LTL freight, which typically takes 5-10 business days depending on your location.
Do I need a professional to install my mini split system?
While we provide all necessary components, most manufacturers require installation by a licensed HVAC professional to validate the warranty and ensure the system is charged and sealed correctly.
What is your return policy for opened units?
We accept returns on unopened, uninstalled units within 30 days of delivery. Once a unit has been installed or the refrigerant lines have been cut, it is no longer eligible for return due to safety and EPA regulations.
How do I know which BTU size is right for my room?
As a general rule, you need about 20 BTUs per square foot. However, factors like ceiling height, insulation quality, and number of windows also play a role. We recommend using our sizing calculator or consulting with our support team.
Are these systems covered by a manufacturer warranty?
Yes, all systems sold through Mini Split Systems Direct come with full manufacturer warranties, typically covering parts for 5-10 years and compressors for up to 12 years, provided they are installed by a professional.
